Arrangements are now complete for the next major conference "Energy Storage for Electricity Networks" to be organised by the I Mech E and the Electricity Storage Network on Wednesday 13 March 2012.

UK Government consultation on Electricity Market Reform

The Government's White Paper "Planning our electric future" is now available for download.  Go to the DECC website here to download this and the supporting documents.

There is now a further consultation on capacity mechanisms.  This is a key part of the introduction of storage into the GB market.  Details of this further consultation are available here.

As a result of the consultation DECC has now published a technical guidance note on the Capacity Mechanism.  Downloads and details are here
