Deployable Tactical Microgrid

Context
 

An expeditionary user of deployable energy required a microgrid capable of being established in under 7 hours, with no internet connectivity. The site had to be 100% reliable and subject to the most rigorous trialling and testing.
 

What MMS does
 

• Runs a fully decentralised solar, battery and diesel generator microgrid across five sub-microgrid nodes

• Operates entirely offline for maximum protection of data & equipment

• Prioritises critical loads and sheds non-essential loads during scarcity

• User selects the optimisation criteria

• Generation and storage assets can be added or removed by unplugging, with no risk to the rest of the system

• Deployable in under 7 hours by non-specialist operators
